Don't Be Moved

My sister posted this on her facebook page the other day and it really moved Todd & I, so I thought I would share.........
Don't Be Moved

Today’s Verse: “But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself,so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24, NKJV).

Today’s Word: I think it’s interesting that the apostle Paul never prayed for every challenge to go away. He prayed that God would give him the strength to go through them with a good attitude. He sought emotional maturity.

Our level of emotional maturity can be seen by how much it takes to get us upset. You’ve heard the saying, “A small pot boils the quickest.” That means if we don’t keep our emotions in check, we’ll always be stressed out and make mountains out of molehills. If we lose our cool because our child forgot his homework, or we’re aggravated because somebody didn’t do something we wanted them to, then we’re not passing the test. We’ve got to grow and mature to the point where we can say what the apostle Paul said, “None of these things move me.” What’s amazing is that Paul knew there were challenges, obstacles and heartache in his future. Yet he said in effect, “It’s no big deal. I’m not worried about it. I trust God. I have a destiny to fulfill.”

Today, choose to see things from God’s perspective so you can keep your emotions in check. Don’t be moved by your circumstances; instead, trust God because He is faithful. He’s working behind the scenes, and He will fulfill His promises to you!

Hello from Caleb & Greyson

good morning from monkey man & chunkers
Good morning, I am so excited that we are doing a blog.  I love the idea of being able to document everything about our lives big & small and each year put it into a book that our family will have to keep forever.  I spent last night playing with it trying to put up a picture and a good background, adding some music and then re-arranging it all!!!  I'm sure before it's all said and done it will all change :)

Hello

We are new to this blogging thing :). I love reading the blog's of everyone close to us and decided that we needed to start one for a couple of reason:

  • So all our family far away can keep up with us

  • So we can keep up with ourselves

  • we will always have great memories to look back on

I'm not the best writer so............................sorry :) I hope we all enjoy this!
